The Ponds Shopping Centre is Australia’s first 6 star Green Star Retail Centre.
It features a glass solar canopy, north facing outdoor alfresco terrace, naturally ventilated main mall to reduce energy usage and rooftop solar photovoltaic system to generate renewable energy for all lighting in the carpark, common areas and external areas. Rainwater is collected for reuse in toilet flushing and landscape irrigation.
Situated on the corner of The Ponds Boulevard and Riverbank Drive, The Ponds Shopping Centre is a true one-stop-shop for residents and the local community. It is next door to the John Palmer Public School and community centre.
The 7,000 square metre centre is anchored by a 4,200 square metre Woolworths full-range supermarket plus 26 specialty retailers including a medical centre and dental clinic, and 349 car spaces. The Ponds Shopping Centre is part of the sold-out $2 billion master-planned residential community with 4200 homes.
Specialty retailers include Indian grocer Modi Khanna, Donut King, Michel’s Patisserie, Koko Thai Restaurant, Oliver Brown, Leafe Café, Wonder Sushi, Meat at The Ponds, Priceline and Star Car Wash.
