Melbourne Chambers offers barristers better facilities and services within a more contemporary networking environment.
Each floor of Melbourne Chambers has a fully furnished reception and conference/mediation room as well as kitchen and amenities. Each chamber features a least one large double-glazed outside window for superb natural light and excellent sound insulation.
Located in the heart of the city’s legal precinct at 235 Queen Street, Melbourne Chambers spans ten storeys. Individual chambers are on each floor with ground floor space devoted to retail and the main Melbourne Chambers lift and entry foyer.
The building was completely gutted back to base build on each floor to accommodate approximately 60 individual chambers across the floors. Each chamber was individually designed to suit the individual barrister requiring specific and very high-quality joinery and furniture to each barrister’s design.
Basso Project Management provided Project Management and Superintendent Services as well as Furniture, Fittings and Equipment Procurement Services.
“It was great to have a client so engaged in the design process. We managed the design process beyond the base build and for each of the chambers according to individual requirements.” Elia Basso, Director, Basso Project Management
